How do I upload pics as thumbnails?

I'm trying to list some t-shirts and need to attach 18 pics. How do I do that?

Click on the little box with the 2 mountains and moon above the reply box and then drag and drop pics or browse device and upload

I did but they upload as big pictures and I can only upload 4 or 5 of them. I need to make them thumbnails.

All pics load as full size now. Thumbnails no longer exist.
