Default Finding 3M 5200/4200 locally

Went out yesterday to pick-up some 5200 for a quick repair. Can't find it in stock locally at any of the box stores (HD, Lowes, Walmart, Bass Pro, Dicks Sporting, auto parts stores, etc)

I usually buy it at the local Academy store but they put it on clearance a while back and none of the stores around here stock it. Sounds like they won't be stocking it in the future?

Anyone else finding it harder to get?

Ordered a couple of tubes online.

Yeah, like you I kind of counted on Academy Sports to have it...but they don't locally. Lowe's has the big tubes but who needs that since it cures quickly once opened. I ordered a couple of tubes of both 4200 and 5200 fast cure just to have "in case".

The marine stores either weren't open or were too busy to answer the phone on Saturday.

I'm surprised Academy no longer stocks 3M products..Used to buy the 3M upholstery cleaner/conditioner there too, but not any more apparently..
I would have purchased the big tube if Lowes had it in stock just to get back on the water.

Received 3 tubes of 5200 today from Amazon. Got 3 tubes of 4200 on the way. Time to start stockpiling consumables.

dont stock pile too much of it unless you plan on using it inside of 24month...thats the shelf life of it from time of shipment from the factory.....

Yep, probably a lot shorter in a 100+ deg shop!!
Says on the tube that it should be stored under 77 degs so it will be staying in the house.

Here too, but not 4200. Same with our other hardware store. Too bad.

Loctite PL series marine sealant should work if you can find it.
