Like Rookie said have him put it in and go. Summer nearly over. It’s not like he’s gonna go in circles. Even if he’s off by 500 + rpm. Who cares just adjust the sticks accordingly while cruising and go have fun. My advice!

Why not just fix the 496 ? He will probably spend less money than trying to find a good 502. Now if he is in a hurry that is probably a different story.

I don’t know for sure but would guess he has one or one in line. Many shops are backed way up at least where I’m at. At this point in the summer I’d marinize that 502 in question and got boating. If was a go fast boat 1,000 a side 100 plus I’d reevaluate the situation but…

Can always sell the 502 after 496 rebuild and not be rushed and miss out on water time.

Are we talking a 415 hp 502 and a 600 hp 496 stroker? Might need a 26 on one side and a 24 on other but it could be done
