Mine get to 220 after about 15 miles of cruise. I don't think that's high and I don't think the engineers at Mobil 1 do either.....

Before of after cooler? I don't know where they are located.
And 220°F is a no go for me after the cooler.

Agreed. After the cooler would not be a good temp.

For the OP’s 525, there is a sensor above the oil filter pad for oil temp and should be a part of smartcraft. If it’s reading from there, then it’s right out of the engine... same for the oil pan rail port just ahead of and closest to the filter pad (mine get temp from there).

If the temps are coming from via smartcraft, I’d say they’re good to go.
