I had the same issue tonight with my Mercury Outboard. My application wasn’t picking up my module.
I took my outboard cover off to check things out and noticed the signal light was on and not the top “Bluetooth” light. I disconnected the module at the OBD port where it connects to the motor for a few seconds, then plugged it back in. Then I cycled power, turned my Ignition switch off/on and BAM both lights lit up and I was able to connect.
if your Bluetooth light is already blinking it’s ready to pair. Log out of your app, then delete from phone. Download again and try to connect to it without creating a profile. Worked for me.

Same issue here. Exceptionally unreliable.

Try turning on airplane mode. that will knock down interference from cellular then try to pair through app.

my boats a 40 footer and they lose connection from time to time. Planning to move the dongles as far forward and away from all interference (spark plugs, etc) to see if it will be more stable.

BTW- dumbest app writers ever!!! Cant do a split screen on IPAD and see stats for two motors/two dongles. Who wrote this abortion?
