454Mag - GenV - carb - dry exh. - what CAM ??
Hello,
i purchased a 1990 Checkmate 251 GTX with a 454Mag GenV ( forged crank and domed pistons ) non roller , carburated, only 50 hrs on a rebuild.
Just bought new : Bravo XR drive , HD Mercury Transom, dual plane alum. Weiand stealth intake 8018, , MSD distr. 85555
Just bought used: stainless marine Gen III dry exhaust - 4,5"
Carbs in shelf: Holley marine double pumper 750 , and a Quickfuel marine M-850
What ROLLER CAM is recommended with the dry exhaust ?, heads ( will get roller rockers ) are 088 cast iron - comp. ratio is 8.6:1, does it make sense to mill the heads or better buy new pistons to raise C.R.
