Default gps????UGH

I have read for two days on here and cant seem to make a decision. I need a large speedometer display. The garmin reads the fastest but i see nowhere how u can set any of the models to read just speed. "large" I am leaning toward a 5 in gauge but the break between 80-90 mph. the class i am setting the boat up for is a max of 85mph .Hard to read that when its ruff. I was hoping someone knew of a way to get a large display to read huge numbers. Thanks again

You have to set it for "trip computer" display and then select one parameter (speed) to be displayed. I've done it with my Garmin 741.

The 741 is like a 7 inch screen and I think the numbers were probably 3 inches or so?

I read and watched stuff longer than i care to admit on products like that. It doesn't say in any of those what the update speed is. most racers use the garmin for that very reeason. plus the abuse these boats go threw i doubt one of those would last one race. Thanks though

My garmin, when i hit a wave hard will read 130-140mph sometimes. Even if going 30-40.
