Default Deep-V Bow thruster installation

Greetings, I wonder does anyone have experience regarding bow thruster installation on a deepish-V bottom boat. I have a small Chris-Craft Stinger and have considered bow thruster installation. The local bow thruster shop although has a very "cannot be done - pointless to do - on this type of bottom" attitude because the hole would be so far back in relation of the tip of the bow, and would create drag and whatever else comes to mind why it "cannot and should not be done". So I thought that problably others have had the question too and maybe some experience or opinions .

I have constant and considerable side wind battling river current where I live (docked on a river inlet marina next to the beach) and docking is a pain. So usually there is drift to counter.
