Default Baja 302 Bilge Float Switch Replacement

Hi all,

I have a 2000 Baja 302 and the float switch quit working. The bilge pump will run if I flip the manual switch at the dashboard, so I'm pretty sure the float switch died on me.

I'm looking for help on what make/model to get to replace it. It's blue in color and says "Atwood Float Switch" on it, but I can't see anything that indicates a model number. It's tied to an Atwood V1250 pump. I want to make sure I get the right volt/amp switch, with correct wiring to be automatic as well as manual at the dash. Looking on Amazon, it visually resembles the Attwood 4201-7, but I'm not sure I should go on looks alone.

If anyone has any pointers on what the closest 1:1 replacement would be, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
-Michael

You may have also popped a fuse as the float switch is a separate circuit from the manual mode.

The float switches are a separate unit and wired in an therefore can be replaced with a similar product ( or just replace the bilge pump with a stand alone Auto/manual pump that has the auto switch built in... they get less crap trapped under the float)

The link below could be your blue switch ....but check ebay or your local marine supplier for price comparison/availability

We generally replaced with a Rule a Matic 12/24 v (up to 15 Amp) when the switch was dead - easiest to find on-hand from the suppliers

If it was me I'd replace it with a Rule switch and probably do the pump at the same time .
IMO those Mayfair and Attwood things are cheap junk .

Thanks, guys. I'll check the fuse box. I didn't know it had it's own fuse.
