Guys,
I've got this 496HO w/ intercooled M1 ProCharger. The manual says I should backflush the intercooler once a year. Despite what appears good flow at the overboard outlet, I feel like I should probably do this, as we've had the boat going on our third season and we haven't done it. The manual gives zero advice on how to go about it. It seems like it is about as anti-rocket science as it could get, but I don't want to screw something up, which my wife will tell you I'm prone to do.
It would seem all I need to do is disconnect the inlet hose from the intercooler body, connect an outlet hose to it, draped over the side of the hull, connect a hose with an NPT fitting to the overboard outlet and flush away. Is this about all there is to it?
Thanks. Brad.
