Ill order a couple more sending units and locate them after the coolers.

I think you’re all over the place with this thing and worried beyond necessity.

Get a *temp gun* and take a reading off the pan immediately after a wide-wide open run.

Hey Tom, Im borrowing a heat gun so waiting for it to be available. Got a friend that said he had a sensor that you drop down the dipstick tube into the pan and measure temp that way. Engine off of course.

You’re overthinking it.

Go to Home Depot or Lowes and get a basic $40 infrared temp gun. Point and shoot at the pan. Take you two minutes.

Quick question. Is your oil flow going the opposite direction of the water flow?

A while back there was a thread abt increasing the oil line size to handle modified engs. In addition to using larger hoses, there are also numerous fittings that need to be changed out for ones with larger internal diameter, radius bends, etc. Basically the max oil flow (and cooling) will be dependent on the most restrictive item in the chain.

++ on the IR temp gun. I keep one in the boat at all times. It gets used frequently.

All of my oil lines are 5/8" ID using all -10 fittings. The most restrictive part I was told was that I reused the stock remote oil filter block however my engine guy cleaned it up and deburred it. At TomZ's request, I did go out to The Home Depot and picked up an IR temp gun. I don't need one for work so I will probably leave it in the boat too.

Should see approx. 50* diff between the hot and cooled oil. I run the same cooler and it’s almost exactly 50*
