Ok, then i should not be worried, if you are talking about stock gm lifter wich is found from zz502 and lower hp bbc crate engines.

Floteks are a great marine choice. They have powdered metal seats.

I normally don't like powdered metal parts. Like the new S&W powder metal hammer etc.

But the tech in the powdered seats is really great. The powdering and pressing + baking enables alloys that normally would not mix. They are softer to start, and work harden in use.

The 290s flew really well. Eric Weingartner racing on youtube has some good flow vids and reviews.
