Default 575SCI info

I’m looking to get input / pros and cons on the 575’s. I’m looking at a pair that are fresh rebuilds along with fresh rebuilt blowers from DMPE. Just looking for some input from ppl who have experience with these engines. I’m aware of the Eddie Young throttle body upgrade which is something I plan on doing. Is there anything else to know about or lack of parts availability with them? TIA

what year of 575's? fresh rebuild as in what? that can make a huge difference if they have already gotten the head gaskets done

i have a 03 575, ran it bone stock - or as i acquired the boat - for 2 years. i think it had a cooler then factory thermostat in it but other wise un opened.
with the factory TBI i found it would fuel load under extended idle or large no wake zones , other wise it was a champ. i never really beat on it. TONS of wide open pulls but never just full sticks and it took it none stop. very very very very thirsty and made sure to use a high zinc oil.

i did a rebuild at 135Hr due to head gasket scares well googling the motor, went to MLS gaskets, afr heads, roller cam, eddies EFI, dyers 871 and a holly HP set up
as for weird parts besides the factory thermostat housing i haven't had any issues sourcing parts

id think you dont have anything besides the TBI stuff to worry about, even then with a build like that are they still on MEFI?

yes still MEFI and stock TBI. I would do the Eddie Young upgrade of the winter. Blowers were sent to DMPE and were overhauled and restripped
