As part of maintenance routine, I always check my clamps. Just grab a 5/16" nut driver and make sure everyone is snug. It's surprising after a fresh install, especially with new hose, how loose they become. I don't think it's the clamp actually loosening, rather the hose shrinking and clamp settling into place on the rubber. It may help with a good piece of mind on your single clamp.

Oh yes I completely agree, I have always done this especially on 4 inch exhaust hose after removal or replacement, run everything up to temp let it cool down then give all clamps a wee tighten, I do this with my exhaust manifolds bolts to sometimes after a couple heat cycles. Always great practice to retighten everything that has been removed/replaced during winter refits, well at least those of us that do winter storage and refit, and I have to remove water manifolds to do just about anything in engine compartment as I shoe horned a tall deck 496 where a skanky ford 351 was. Thanks, I may switch the clamps over to the spring loaded for piece of mind. Since I can't get 2 clamps on each connection like I was hoping.
