Brad, whats the reason for AN fittings on both ends of the rails? Just to keep possibilities open? Or are you actually using them all?

AShipShow,

Put simply, I designed it around my intended configuration. Personally, I am using them all. Fuel enters the rail at the forward end of the port rail, then through a connector hose across the back to the starboard rail, then out the vertical fitting at the #2 position, headed for the regulator.

For the second one I built, and have since sold, I made it the same way. I believe the user is going to block of the forward fittings on both rails with AN caps, plumbing it for dead-head, like the OEM rail. As I understand it, they are retaining the rest of the fuel delivery system. It's going on an HP3.

I could also weld a cap on the forward end of the port rail and use a standard injector cup at the #2 position, and it would only be configurable as dead-head. It's really kind of wide open as to how it can be configured. The only thing that is critical is the relationships between the injector cup locations and the mounting tab locations. And those are unaffected by any deviations end-of-tube.

Thanks. Brad.

Guys,

For the record….

Do we know if the Merc and VP 8.1 fuel rails are mechanically interchangeable?

Thanks. Brad.
