its been a while since i put the blowers on mine, is there still a 50 amp breaker on the engines? its weird that both would pop, also all the breakers in the case where the battery switches are? push them all hard.
Yes there is a 50 on engines. Tried those too |

Make sure all the breakers in the cabin are on and the red push button breakers by the battery switches don’t need to be reset.

As you say, a double engine issue is suspect. Not even enough power to snap the starter solenoids even with a batt pack...
I would start testing voltage in the wiring from the batts to the engines. Let's not forget the grounds either. But the odds of a double ground issue on both engines is slim. Likely a power feed circuit before it branches to both engines. |
Nothing to add what hasn’t already been said but when you solve it, I bet you give yourself a head slap for what you forgot to do. :evilb:BTDT

First thing I'd check is to see if the ignition switch/key is getting 12v power.
|
Check the breakers inside the cabin, they get bumped from people walking in and out of cabin.

Took cover off today after boat had been sitting for a while. Put batteries in…turned on all the switches.
went to turn the key nothing. No clicking no nothing. Trim pumps work, lights work, etc. motors aren’t getting power for some reason. checked kill switches. Checked neutral switch. Checked all fuses. Nothing. anything else I should check. Before I start pulling dash and chasing with a meter. it’s happening on both engines…nothing.

Yup. My bet is the common power or ground to the pushbuttons. Jumper from battery to solenoids to start isolating. Replying to follow progress. Thanks. Brad. |
quick update...disconnected barrel connector on engine. applied power to individual pins; starter and fuel pumps worked.
so its isolated to something between batteries and ignition on dash most likely. will do some more troubleshooting tomorrow. day light savings kills my ability to do much after work. |
I installed a small breaker on the ignition side of each engine back by the starter relay ( kind of anti theft device ) and chance yours have them ?
EDIT: do you just have a single red and black to connect to the batteries ? |
