Made some progress. Pulled dash. Confirmed everything is getting power except ignition components.

pulled fuse panel…confirmed all fuses getting power except top 2 fuse boxes which is ignition components on purple power. Using a small jumper cable for power…giving that fuse power I was able to turn on fuel pump with key and push button for starter.

now I need to figure out why power is not getting to those fuses? Where does it come from I assume battery switches?

here is the odd thing. The fuse feeds a fuel pump switch on dash. We never needed to use those switches before. Which implies ignition was always hot to battery. Wondering if that’s a change that was made when this boat was converted to efi

Are you missing any wire connections at the batteries that connect to the wing nuts ? your battery might not have them

Took battery selector apart…all wires tested hot.

for some reason that wire isn’t hot at the helm…

All boats came with the fuel pump switch that was never hooked up from the factory. Main power goes the through the breakers in the cabin, they say port and starb master. They look like a light switch, you need to see if there's power there. Your boat has been in storage correct? Any mice in the building? Did somebody shut something off when put away?

neither engine wants to start…so that implies power isn’t making it to the cabin switches. I will trace it out tho.

check to see if you have power into and out of kill switches and neutral switches. strange things happen to electrical stuff in storage

Ok quick update. Power is not getting to starboard or port master switches in cabin. However it is getting to the hatch master. Which is in between them.

how is wire routed from battery switches to the switch area. I assume port side? I’m losing power between battery switch and switches in cabin.

The red wires run all the way back. Is there a bus they sit on from battery. If so where is it?

compedgemarine 11-05-2024 03:19 PM

so on the other side of the battery switch panel there are breakers at the bottom and a switch and gauge? in the middle. you have power at every single point there? is one of the circuit breakers power to the front switches for each side? not knowing how it was wired and just looking at pics makes it tough but if there are breakers in the rear that have power and then no power up front then it is in between which shouldnt have another connection point but who knows. with both failing is sounds like there is a hidden switch for theft protection or such in between that may have failed or was unknowingly turned off.
