Thank you AllDodge for your explanation. This help helps tremendously!!

I guess another question I have if you all can please help with is that I already have some specials tools to do the job. I currently have:
  • 94-17262 - tool with holes to align shifter cable
  • 91-17263 - tool plate to hold the shifter end at the helmet of the bravo1
  • I just ordered 91-805475A1 - the engine alignment tool
  • I have 91-818162 - Sleeve to install the bellow ring
  • 91-805454 - used with sleeve (9181862) to install ring for bellow
  • 91-37323 - Driver rod Note really sure what it is used
Am I missing anything else as far as tools.
Thank again

I can’t really think of any other special tools:

Shift cable alignment to adjust the upper cables to lower
shift cable tool to put across face of housing that I mentioned above I just use a paint stirrer for
gimbal bearing alignment tool if you pull the gimbal bearing out
hinge pin tool to pull the hinge pins out - if you have HD Transom Assemblies you need a slide hammer and attachment (you can rent this from Advance Auto and the have the right size thread included in the kit)
tool to pound the bellows sleeve in (I have a pipe with appropriate sized flange on the end that I use.

Make sure when you put the drive shaft bellows in you get them in the right notch. There are two notches/ridges and you want them BOTHin the right ridge.
