Default Fuel Pump Conversion

Looking into dumping the mechanical fuel pumps on my Gen 6 motors that are attached to the sea pumps. Is it possible to run the fuel excess pressure through the water/fuel separator housing? I am sick and tired of these pos fuel pumps leaking diaphragms. Any pics or hand drawn schematics? What are the drawbacks?

You're asking if you can use an electric fuel pump and have a return system to the tank?

Or looking for a regulator to minimize pressure?

You can use the holley red pump and it does not require a regulator

What HP? I ran Mallory 140's with regulators dead headed for 10 years. I then plumbed them with a return to my fuel seperators for another few years.
I'm currently running Holley blue pumps w/ regulators dead headed on a set of Merc 420's.
As stated with red pump you don't need a regulator or return. (<400HP)
I did this to also ditch the sea pump/fuel pump.

Motors are refreshed 500HP's with closer to 630HP on Holley 850's
