Do you have a way to communicate with the pcm, laptop software or scanner to verify that the uploaded tune is the correct file for your engine. A Whipple tech telling you to reduce the fuel pressure on a fixed pressure system tells me that he didnt know what he was talking about.

psi 68, yes but this thing should idle like a carbed engine

This is how wet spark plugs are in cylinders 1 and 2.

Set of spark plugs after idling little while.

I don’t have any laptop software or scanner. That is one problem. Next week a guy from boat repairing shop will came and scan the engine. Then we know for sure that all sensors work as they should. We don’t have any way to verify about what kind of tune is in my ECM at the moment.

We have tested for example engine temperature sensor with voltage meter etc. We haven’t find any broken sensors etc. and engine did idle just fine with 3 fuel injectors.

I use to run ngk #7 also but have went to the autolite 3923 and it has helped a lot with long idle time, if you have access to a set Id throw them in and see what happens, set the gap at .035

You should be talking to guys that run Whipples not read about them. I don't think you have a big problem but need to know where to look. First, I currently have 5 Whippled engines, 3 in boats and 2 spares. From all said the first thing is to check the TPS. It sounds like it is not in the correct position and is incorrectly richening the whole fuel curve. The sensor is the rheostat on end of the thottle shaft. It has slotted mounts and can be turned to correct output voltage. I am not by my boat, but mark it then loosen it and turn it a very little amount. Your fuel metering will change and you will hear it instantly. Yes, Whipple tunes are pig rich and rightly so. At boost the 11.7 ratio is needed to not have the pistons melt down. If you have an intercooler do not have water running though it below 2000-2500RPMs. Fuel will pool in the intercooler fins and intake. Your front cyl's will run richer than the others. The reason is without closed cooling that is where the water first enters the engine and runs cooler that further back in the block.

Hope that helps coming from someone having Whipples with past issues.

Thank you for your reply.

TPS is set correct with Whipple install manual. TPS is also checked actually couple times and it is correct. TPS is now .55v.

I have intercooler. We tested to block water route for intercooler at idle but engine seems to wet cylinder 1 and 2 spark plugs immediately on start.

I know you are in Finland but I think you need to talk to them. Email is handy but a phone call is often more productive. Use email to get the best number or person and set up a time
