Got to thinking more abt the SS fasteners. I remember ordering some name brand U-bolts and upper swivel pins a few years back. They were supposed to be super strong and were made of 17-4 SS. After installing them (using a torque wrench), I needed to take one back off. Both nuts turned abt 5 degs and froze-up solid. Had to break them. Re-installed the old U-bolt.. Didn't have to mess with the other U-bolt so not sure it's going to do the same thing or not.

Anyway, ordered another round of shouldered screws. 316 SS this time. They went in smooth/easy and I'm back in business.
