Dual dominator

so is it a dual 4 bbl tunnel ram intake? Most boaters loose sight of fact these are low power, low rpm engines in comparison to race bbc builds turning 7500, 8000 making 1000+ for seconds vs 2/3rds that for minutes.

Back in the day sometime in the early 80's when I built my first set of engines for my BAM Cigarette I had the opportunity to test a pair of dominators and a pair of 800's back to back on the dyno. Edlebrock Victor tunnel ram, 540 ci, solid roller cam, good aluminum heads. Ran them to 6000 rpm. I kind of remember 800 hp or so.
800's were way better all around.

buddy of mine runs twin 1050 dominators on his gasser but it is 600+ ci and 14:1 compression. I would think on a pleasure boat engine it would be anything but pleasurable. As Marc said about the 800's, I can see them being much more workable to tune and boat with.
