Default Blind fastner????

Can anyone identify this blind fastner, Mainly the plastic part. It's off my fountain and they hold down the batteries and hot water tank. They accept a 1/4-20 bolt and they are plastic. The picture shown is only 1/2 the fastner the other 1/2" broke off and fell in the boxed in area (Unaccessable) It seems from what I can see ther is a basket attached under the exposed piece. Any ideas on who makes this??

I'm not sure if this is the same thing, but I think I have used this type of fastener before. I believe the part you have in the picture used to be connected to a toggle using two nylon straps. You are able to push the toggle end through the oversized hole, once through the floor, you can pull the nylon straps to pull the toggle up to the bottom of the floor. The straps then can be cut and you can then use the screw. I think you will be able to find these in most marine stores. If you go to the WestMarine Ecatalog, you can search for Fasco Toggles - there is a picture there. I believe it is on page 572.

Thanks, I'll check it out. It did seem to have two straps that were cut off. GREAT

Rather than the plastic one, why not just use the wing style bolt. It'll get a piece of metal under there that won't fail.

This one has a stainless steel plate the plastic is just for holding it in the hole. Seems like a double zip tie, Pull on the tabs and the metal plate is cinched up against the back of the fiberglass. $7.95 for 2 WOW
