Don't quote me on this, but I saw this motor on either trucks or hp tv, I believe the price for the 572 was 8000 for the long block.
The only thing that would bother me about this motor is the aluminum heads. Unless you used it in a fresh water cooling setup would'nt you run into issues with corrosion.
As far as cam profile, going by the numbers provided of 650 ft lbs at 4500 and wot at 5500 I would think the the motor would be a great fit for marine use with the cam that is in it. Obviously you can't tell for sure unless you see the whole provile, but with 572 cubic inches I would be suprised if it has a narrow power band.
