powder coat removal

take it to a GOOD sand blaster. If they know how to take if off they will be able to do it NO problem. I had mine done that way, and that was after I tried to sand blast it myself for a couple hours and got no were. They did the blasting and repowdercoated them for I think it was 180 bucks. TIME IS MONEY

I had a billet gas cap with the purple "fusion coat" powder coating starting to chip. I let it soak in a can of carb cleaner for a while and it wiped right off. If I recall I think it loosened up in about 30 minuted but it took longer to get everything out of the corners, etc.
The cleaner to use is the "dip type" that comes in a one gallon paint can. Should be able to get it at any auto parts store. I think you can also get it in 5 gallon size for larger items, but not sure where.
Once it's done it looks perfect!!
Good Luck!

Yep.
Powder is just a plastic. Anything that will dissolve or soften plastic will work on powder. Heat. Airplane stripper. Solvent.
Jeff, never seen a DOG tree before. DogWOOD yes, DOG no.
Lotus AND dog tree.

Mike -
Dogwood - Very good!!!
Our dog was lovin' the snow. He was jumping to catch a frisbee and we caught him in the act! It was a cool pic so I thought why not be my avitar for a while.
