On the other hand, it was interesting to see the prices on the parts at the time!

Yup.
I remember when the gmpp 502 shortblocks 1st came out. Early-mid 90’s. Around 94 maybe ? Was like $2400-$2800. Yes, lots of time has passed, but that was quite affordable for those times too.

I thought the same thing. I have two long blocks I need to run compression and leakdown on and get pictures and list them up I was thinking crap my procrastination got me hard on this one and the bubble has popped!
