Desk Top Dyno and Carbed HP500
I am staring to play with Desktop dyno and would like to run a stock carbed HP500 through
Can any one point me in a direction so I can get the intake cam and carb specs from searching on OSO I have come up with 8.75:1 compression 800 holly crane 169611 cam I there a web spot I can check this |
I find that dyno 2000 lets you enter more info & seems to be more accurate than desktop dyno. You can actually order a disk from them with popular cam profiles.
I had both at one time & desktop dyno seemed a little more optomistic. In any case, they are both fun to mess with. |
I think you can get the cam specs at www.cranecams.com with the part#.
The hp 500 uses a single plane intake with a 800 cfm holley. Hope this helps, Jeff |

klaw, I'm with Ratchet about Dyno 2000. I had a desktop and got a 2000. I don't even know where the desktop is. The head flows they give you are way off in both versions. There was a thread about cylinder head flow a few weeks ago. Chevy High Performance had several heads tested by the same guy, same machine so they are all measured equally. If you can't find it, post again and I will pull the numbers out of my files for you.
Happy Hunting!! |
I am using 2000
I am purchasing 2 carbed HP500 and will be freshing them and will probably put bak as stock fro the reliabiliy issues but just wanted to fool around. Blown 1500 I found the site for the head flows thanks for the heads up Profile Thanks on the manifold info |
