Default Merlin Intake Manifold Question

Does anyone know for a fact, that Merlin makes the BBC Single Plane Marine Intake for an Oval Port?

I was at the AC boat show and the guy at one of the booth's was trying to tell me that Merlin only makes the Marinized manifold as a Rectangular Port.

If Merlin does make the Marine Single Plane Oval Port Intake, can someone please give me the part number, and price?

Thanks,

Panther

Default merlin manifold

Panther,

Merlin only makes a square port manifold. This can be used on oval ports. The design is one that will cover the oval port design.

Panther,

PM 26 scarab, I think he has one of these that was actually reworked to match the oval port heads on his engine...........maybe he can let you know where / who he got it from.

If I remember correct 26scarab has a high hp motor so are you sure you are not talking about porting a intake to the heads?

He does have one, but for some reason I thought this is what he did........I'll ask him when I see him.

I've got a Brodix intake that was welded up and ported to match my oval ports.
I'm not too sure on the part number for the intake I think it is
200-1. Brodix used to make an oval port version but I think they discontinued it.

Merlin makes a oval port intake. Its not a marine intake but it can be used. I have used street intakes for years and never had a problem. You will get a lot of neg feed back with this but you know what, when its on the motor they can't tell the differance. I can't speak for salt water use, but for fresh water I would not waste the money for the marine intake. Check out Summit they have them there.
