the only diff is paint .Iwant to stand out.I used to have a FZR1000 so i am use to my nuts hurting ,the rear seat is a suction cup seat only 4 inchs wide .so i want some thing fast also.I was told the iron horse had a 3 year warrenty?still shoping.

The Factory is 2 miles from my house, bad ass bikes, I'm a home builder and my framer has a sweet TEJAS hard tail The bikes are top notch. I would try to buy factory direct they are in ft.worth TX

Martin Brothers is in Lancaster and they do all their frames, body work, wheels, pipes, etc. One of the owners is the artist and his paint jobs are second to none.

You may want to check insurance on a chopper before you buy one. Some bikes with the wording "chopper" in their name are very expensive when they are extended 6" or 8" over. I've heard it is about an excess of $2000 over usual premiums. Anyway that is what my local dealer said. He does not carry American Ironhorse. He only carries Bourgets and Big Dogs. He said Bourgets are usual pricing but the Big Dog choppers are insuring around $2500 and up. Just has to do with the way they title them I think.

You might also try Orange County Choppers. I don't know the website, but they do have one. Jesse James type imagination, w/o the price.

Also, if you aren't in a hurry, wait til one of the biker rallys. They have incredible deals. I know there is one coming up in May down south. I went to the Steel Pony Express in Nov. They had AWESOME bikes customized from top to bottom. $25K will buy you a ride cooler than anything in town. Take cash if you can -- the builders are sitting there with the bike, and they will negotiate.

BTW -- I ride a chopper I had (am having) built. They ride radically different that anything you have ever been on.

Rob --I think you will be very happy with a Bourget. That is my first choice too. But... I had to go for the Big Dog. I couldn't do the extra $15k. I have a Indian too, got to have something for the wife to ride with me.

Don't forget about warranty work. It is not uncommon to need it on the first couple thousand miles on these big inchers. That is why I went with my local dealer. Paid a little more than I should have but they do take pretty good care of me when needed. I have needed warranty work on both bike too. All miner work but I would hate to drive a couple of hours or more for an oil leak fix.

KaamaScarab30-- I have never riden a chopper but my rigid raked out to 39*, not much, but enough, along with the 250 tire does ride totally different. Once I got used to it and then jumped back on a road bike I wanted back on the raked bike. At first it may seem sluggish, but once you get the balance you can drag the pegs on corners.

Sorry so long but I love these bikes as much as boats. Toys for big boys.
