Stern lifting vs Bow lifting
Can anyone tell me waht prop design would work best for my 1984 26' Nova spyder with twin 400hp small blocks. My boat is a heavy "6700" lbs I am running 25 Pitch ballistic SS on them at 5200 rpms. I was thinking of getting Mirrage plus' or two "stern lifting" 4 blades.............HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

Big Girl
She's a big girl and has alot of hull in the water even @ WOT Just dont know if the 4 blade stern lift would give me more top end than the mirage plus?

Your boat probably needs a lot of help "carrying the bow". Since the drives are most likely mounted deep, the Mirage Plus (not the old Mirage) will most likely work best.

sternlifters raise the complete boat
If you can try a hydromotive 22 four blade or the 22 pitch Bravo they actually lift the complete boat not just the stern/good luck/Darin

Try a Merc Rev4. They are made for heavy boats. I have an old Liberator and see more stern and bow lift plus better speed with the Rev4. All the three blades i tested would blow out as I trimmed up. The Rev4 stays hooked and allows me to trim up the nose quite a bit higher. Worth a test drive if you can find one.
