They are either the 370 or the 420 from merc that was based off the 454. That is what Formula used with the Kaama package

Did you try www.mercruiserparts.com ????

Go to the look up parts by engine section then go to V8 sterndrives and look at the serial #s listed.
If its a 502 then its a 1996. If its a 454 then its 1996-1997.

Thanks Griff for your help - now I know my engine/drives are at least same or newer than the boat. (it was repowered)
