Default Captains Call

Has anyone else had the same problem with their Capt. Call working backwards. If I want to have the exhaust go through the prop I have to flip the aux. switch on. That is completely opposite from the 232 that I had. I have aked other Baja Owners and their's is opposite from mine. I called the dealer and they said that all of the newer boats are set up that way! Can anybody help? Thanks

Can you just simply turn the switch itself over?
Just a thought

I have a 2002 233 With the switch off the exhaust goes through the Prop, I have to turn the switch on for exhaust to run straight out the tips.

Like US1 Fountain said you could the turn the switch or maybe switch the wires running to the switch.

With the switch off, mine runs thru-hull (loud). With the switch on, the exhaust dumps out under the water line (quiet).

I'd guess that the switch is just an on-off (make or break) switch, so switching wires will not do anything.

Outlaw, they make 2 types of diverters, one is thru hull on, one is thru prop on, the thru prop on is less expensive than the other. It is just an actuator solenoid, like a snow plow, see if your switch grounds the circuit, or powers it? Either way, you need different actuator, I think they're about 110$ ea.
