which plugs should i run on a procharged 330hp 7.4L

quick question about plugs

i'm putting a procharger on my 330hp 7.4L and was wondering which plugs you guys would run.

What boost pressure?

If below 3, then try one size colder.
If above 3, try two sizes colder.

If you can't keep a clean plug at cruise, then go up one hotter.

5lbs w/ an intercooler

Running stock plugs here...no problems yet...was told hotter is a no no.454 built...9lbs.

JimV told me to run NGK UR-5 plugs. I'll let you know how they look after a couple hours of runtime.

I'm running those same plugs in my 525SC. Ran them for 50hrs last year and they still look fine. They are the same heat range as an AC mr41's and have an extended tip.

your putting a charger on a stock 330,you do know that thing has small rods and cast pistons.....you should at least have a 365 magnum for one of those!

Hi, are you stoned or just stupid?:confused: When asking how to build more power 75% of the people on here sugjust a intercooled super charger. Have you ever taken a 454 apart with your one 2 hands and seen how big the "SMALL RODS" real are?

I don't think he's referring to the small rods, but the 3/8" bolts. Not to mention the fact that the cast pistons will melt if not explode when exposed to a slight bit of detonation for any extended period of time.

I melted one last season and did all sort of damage to the cylinder and one of the valves. At the time I was only running under around 3-4 pounds of boost (4400-4500rpm). You know what kind of damage detonation can cause as those rpms??? Damage that can cost a **** load of money to fix..

I currently run a V-power R5674-8

It's an extended tip, which I don't think is recommended for a blower motor to begin with, but no more problems so far(about 75hours). I just put new ones in it.
