Default merc mechanic price

mechanic said if he had to drill holes price 2.100.00 . 1.500.00 to 1.800.00 with holes all ready drilled. cost me under 400.00 for everything so far

Monza24--- Where did you find the shaft for $179. I may need to replace both of mine. I am tearing them apart this weekend.

Default uper swivel shaft

tinkerboater basic power ind. 800 562 2742 only thing they dont have o ring for swivel shaft on my way to local merc. dealer to find

Default new merc.parts

tinkerboater yes merc. parts. just bought a dremil to clean inside housing. this is only time to clean and paint those little nooks and cranys.my wires for trim senders were starting to split from corrosion so im changing them to.

Thanks I just ordered two new tiller arm shafts. That # you gave me was not the ordering # and boy the guy that answered the line let me know it. WOW what an A$$. Told me not to call this # if I have questions. All I asked him was if they sold MERC parts or aftermarket. Going to get the parts ssand blasted and painted before I put them back togeather.

Default shift cable boot was leaking too

cable boot was cracked. any one know what to use on water intake hose plastic fittings that go on inside of hose to tighen.

Just replaced my swivel shaft and gimbal ring. What a nightmare job with a small glimmer of light from WildthingTaz. I bought his kit that makes a window cut for access rather then the two side holes in the transom assembly. Saved alot of time and frustration. Ill post some pics soon.
