Question Help, someone with 280 k-planes and access to their boat

I need someone to measure the rise on std 280 k-planes. If someone could do this for me Id really appreciate it. Take a long straight edge and hold it up to the bottom of the boat so it comes straight back at least as far as the end of the k-plane. Measure the distance from the straight edge to the k-plane at the hinge and then again at the end of the k-plane. This will give me the rise info I need. Oh, with the k-plane up all the way please. Thanks.

3/4 of an inch to the bottom of the hinge and 4.5 inches at the end

Thanks, Wow, I was gonna set mine at 2.5 and I thought that might be too much but I guess not.

Almost the same as Bf. Mine are mounted 1" off the bottom. At the end of the Kplane, running a straight edge flush with the bottom of the boat, I'm at 5 inches.

Keep in mind, the transom angle will have a small effect on the amount of rise. You should just have to mount then 1/2"-1" off the bottom of the boat.
