Question Kaama Prop Queation

I have listened to most of you guys that have Kaama's and you all seem to have 4 blade props. My drives have a set of three blade 17x24. The boat was supposed to have a pair of 420 hp engines originaly so I am going to guess that is what was in it when the engines disappeared. Now I see a pair of 4 blade 17x24 on E-bay. Should I be thinking about these or should I wait untill I try the three blade and see how they work? thanks and sorry for the long story, Paul

Interesting... I just bought a pair of props IDENTICAL to those from the same guy. He was great to deal with, but don't ask me how he ended up with TWO sets just alike. These things are HARD to find. BTW -- His price is right. The only other pair I have seen that are comparable were $2k. (Was I ever glad to find this guy. ) The ones he sent were in great condition.

Also, YES -- you want 4 blades. (I am assuming you have a Formula from your screen name.)

Tried the 3b 16.5x24s. To get on plane you had to put the tabs and drives down, put the throttles on 4000rpms, go to the back of the cockpit, grab a beer, drink it, make a couple of phone calls, and IF all of your passengers were in the cuddy all the way to the front, the boat would eventually get on plane.
