Water temp low????

Water temp low????
I think I might have sucked up some sand into my 1999 502 MAG becuase after leaving the islands this weekend the temp on the way home never got above 130 degrees where it usually runs about 150-160 at idle and 170-180 during hard runs. Should I pull the thermostat or just continue to monitor?? Thanks for any suggestions
