I had a minor oil leak on the B&M 250. Got a little oil on the belt. Looked like a tedious process to clean it so I put it in the dishwasher. Came out just dandy. I have washed numerous parts in the dishwasher but I am afraid to list them here as she may read it. What parts have you successfully cleaned in the "indoor parts cleaner"?

The wife will not let me get anywhere near the dish washer. Same goes for the clothes washer and dryer.

Havent used the dishwasher yet. She did come home to find my 900 Kawasaki motor 3/4 of the way in the oven trying to cure some wrinkle paint. Also used my mom s vacuum to suck stuff up out of the engines I was tearing down like gasket pieces out of the ports and valley. I think it really helped the vacuum 40 years later it still ran like new. I figure it was well oiled.

Really, it was an accident. Boy, was it PISSED!!
I'll guarantee that cat'll never get in there again.

I like to bake freshly painted engine parts in oven, but have not used the dishwasher yet. We just remodeled and have not had a chance to use the new stuff yet and probably never will.

Actually my wife thought it was funny. I have a portable dish washer that had been sitting out back and no one wanted it. A pretty nice Kenmore in fact. One day the wife comes out back to the shop and hears something running. Well I found that the dishwasher makes a pretty good parts cleaner. I would probably be shot if I used the one in the house.

If you remove the racks a snowmobile engine will fit in the dishwaher. Just use the dry cycle for curing paint.

Actually, the dishwasher cleans a flame arrestor quite nicely. Just use the pot scrubber cycle.

I haven't tried the dishwasher yet but she has come home to find parts in the oven and the freezer. Makes them slip together so nice.
