I am Heading to the boat now. The prop that I am running is a Older Merc prop that they don't make any more. I cant remember the model off the top of my head . I believe it was made for use on O/B's. I have two of them that I am borrowing . 25 P and a 26 P I am currently running the 25 at 5300 but I have a few things I still Have to do to the motor. I am not getting any water to the inter cooler at WOT. I am only running 4 PSI of boost and I want 6. I have the timing set at 28 and it was designed to run at 30 and the 26 prop has to be labed. When this is all done I hope to see high 70's .I will keep you posted on my results when I GPS her when I am finished. I just wont GPS her till I am all finished. But I know the boat is running close to or at 75 now. When I get in tonight or in the morning I will tell you what prop I have. The correct prop on this hull is everything.

Paul

Any suggestions would be gladly appreciated
I recently worked a 24 Bravo -one for a guy here in Houston, It worked so well, he picked up a solid 4 mph! He called me to tell me the good news. I asked him to let me know, the results either way. SO HE DID and brought the prop back in, so I could copy just what I did do. I have the perfect blade design and amount of cupping and thickness for this setup. IT'S USUALLY YOU ONLY HERE THE BAD, BUT NICE TO HEAR THE GOOD, SO WE CAN DO THINGS LIKE THIS TO BENEFIT US ALL./Darin

28 Scarab I thought that would get your attention......... Was it you I talked with on the phone last year and told me what motor configuration they had but wouldn't tell me what prop they were running at the time like it was a big secret.

If it wasn't Please accept my apologies.

Personally I get a feeling of self gratitude by being able to share my experience's so that someone might benefit from them.

If you would like to share what HP , Prop, Speed and RPM your running now and past configurations maybe we can all learn something here.

I have talked with a few people with this boat that had big power and had problems with finding the correct prop or trying to get over the 70 MPH mark.

28 Scarab - I think Hot Boat was referring to my prop and speed.

SCARAB 28 YOU MAY BE RIGHT. Paul no big secret as you say. I run a Hydromotive 27p reworked by Bronson Hill hp.is 720 Boost7.5 5500-5600 rpm if you recall I called you and told you I had some props, at the time you could test last summer if you wanted to. Why we run the hydro. is the river is not like a lake as you know and we feel the boat handles better and is safe then the other props that we tested. AS far as me helping others I will and have gone out of my way to help in the past.!!
