Hello, I am new to the forum and have a harmonic balancer question.
Can anyone please tell Me if a harmonic balancer part # 10216452 will work on a gen V cast crank motor? I think that part # is for a gen VI motor but I am not sure if they are compatible. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thank you Kurt Zimmie |
[QUOTE=TomR;645848]Scarab28 is correct, GenV & GenVI are the same crank. Also, do your self a favor & spend the money for a "FluidDamper" harmonic balancer.
you do not want to run a fluid dampner! they are not sufficient at controling harmonics in a marine engine application! they are fine for big diesels(that's where they originated) but they ARE NOT THE TICKET for a sustained higher rpm marine/perf. engine! you want a good dampner? ATI SuperDampner IS the only one to use! (why do you think CROWER will void the warrantee on their crankshafts if a "fluiddampner is used? Because they BREAK CRANKSHAFTS! ) |
