Bad coil?

Possible loose wire!

Could you possibly have a loose connection at the distributor and or a loose connection at the wire harness plug. Shake the wires around while under way to see if that is a possibility. Also on some Mercs they have a second plug in connection from the distributor that gets corroded. When it gets corroded it shorts out comes on and off and is hard to find. Clean all your contacts here.
Post your findings.
Thanks Brian

Fuel delivery problem.

Put in a new pump, filter, and feed lines, all fittings above bilge are now threaded not barbed and clamped.

Ran about 10 min. in poker run and then blue smoke filled the cockpit.

Next project: ENGINE REMOVAL

wowchad,

Sorry to hear about your troubles.

I saw your boat parked on the trailer by the ramp, but I didn't know it was yours. In fact I didn't even know you where there untill I talked to Thirsty turtle(Bruce) the next day. Sorry I missed you.

Brina

Yeah Brian I don't miss many trips to the river. Even floating down stream puts a smile on my face:)

I still had a great time only running the last half, the only bummer were those trains all night 25' from our tents. We were up and out of there by 8:30.

Next year, once you have the dates, were going to reserve the "POINT".
You can even leave your boats in the water right there and it's cool to watch all the boats roll in.

Were going to Prairie Du Chein the weekend after labor day if I can get this alternator working in the Jet:)

Hope you get the Outlaw straightened out. There are about 6 boats from GRH also going to Praire Du Chein on the 6th.

Hopefully we'll see you there.:D

Bruce where are you staying? Or are you only running down for the day?

I have a small group of jetboaters that stay in a hotel on the IA side, right by the marina there.

We are going to camp on the river, weather permitting, about 3 miles south of Prairie on the west side of the river.
You can't miss all the little boats that'll be hanging out there and it's right on the channel.

The Island we'll be at is straight across from Wyalusing State Park.

We'll have the kiddies but stop by and say hi if you get the chance, or honk as you go by.

BTW what did MNHowardCat pick up in Chicago? I didn't get a chance to meet him.

Don got himself a Sugar Sand jet off Ebay while they settle on his claim. He was riding in the 30 Eliminator on the Poker Run.

I'm not sure of the hotel name we'll be at. I think it's on the WI. side and the marina is in the backwaters.....there's a towboat dry docked somewhere nearby??

We'll be looking for you guys:)

Bruce
