Ok I have a transom pick up and a high mounted sea strainer ( the only place it will fit on my checkmate 251) i have no problem with this set up. pressure is good and temp is steady at all speeds. I did not install it it was on the boat when i got it. I have never seen this transom pick up before the strainer is MM.

P.S. got a new set of white SS comp gauges for Xmas for the old check.

Hope you like them. A lot of older boats have the transom pickups. My 1986 baja and my friends 1988 30 checkmate have them.
