It's a project I'm going to tackle soon. I changing from the two stick set up to a four stick. The two stick handles are just too wide to hold while running in seas. Mine are both Morse controls, so hopefully the swap will go smoothly. As a matter of fact, the throttles are out of Too Old's Sonic that he sold.
What I have.

dyno...if they are like the yellow ones then its a breeze. There should be 4 bolts holding the assembly together with some nyloc-nuts. you take those out and it all falls appart. What i woudl suggest is to put wrap of tape around the base so when you take the screws out it doesnt "explode" on ya and parts go flying! There is no tention for it to "explode per-se....i was only saying that cause it seems like parts magicly always seem to jump 20 feet in the direction your never looking when taking stuff apart! LOL Anyway there should be some small ballbearing in there that hold the sticks in place when they move....those are the parts you should be carefull of not loosing.....just take your time and remember how it all came appart. You should do judt fine...and if you are nervous...take lots of pictures!

That looks like the morse setup. Yes, it's very easy to take apart. Not quite as easy to put back together. Watch closely how it comes apart and it won't be too hard. The trick is the ball and spring used for the detents. If you have the ratcheting throttle, there will be one on the throttle and shifter. Otherwise the detent is only on the shifter. You can also easily reverse the levers at this time. That will give you two ways to reverse the levers, times 4 levers, for eight ways, plus the cables can be reversed, for 16 ways, and then we have the detent springs for 64 different ways that you can screw this simple project up!
