Re: How fast is a 96' 22 Scarab with 502/415hp?

Attention! Scarab owners with 502's...

I turned a stock 26p Bravo 5100 rpm on my 22 Eagle xp with 502 mag at 75 mph. I bought the Spinelli 28p and turned it 4950 rpm at 78 mph so that's a 3 mph gain at 150 less rpms and the boat felt like it had much more lift. The Spinelli is a semi-cleaver prop, much more aggressive looking than the bravo and was designed soley for a smaller single engine boat. If you're looking at a 26p bravo, I would seriously look into the 28p Spinelli. This is a custom prop that could possibly work awesome on your boat for less than stock bravo price. There's only a handfull of applications that this prop will work on and I seriously think it would work great on your boat. Think about it. P.S. 4000 rpm = 64 mph with Spinelli...
