GO TO UPS .COM AND CHECK THE SHIPPING FOR THE PROP FROM Houston to Germany,
weight is normally 18lbs size is 16x16x10 |
Andy
did you get a chance to check out ups ,They are very high$$$ I was shocked myself. The prop is almost done and ready for shipment looking at mid next week and it will be ready to go ,I will p.m. you the tracking numbers,Thanks again Andy .

DARIN
wow, they really have some extreme rates for overseas shipping. All the stuff I normally get from the US, like shipments from Rex or Eddie Marine are in the 70$ (similar weight and size) range and take two weeks. No idea why the guys at ups think their service is worth more than double of that......
one more thing: I think the prop comes without an insert, could you please send me one along with the prop? The normal plastic version will do. Thanks Andy |
ANDY /HUB INSERT/SHIPPING
Andy you bet ,I will put a plastic insert in the box for you ,it's on me or do you need the complete kit???
I am sorry about UPS shipping rates to Germany,I cant belive that it cost that much. There should be a law against that, instead of Highway robbery it's water robbery:rolleyes: :D . Thanks Andy!!! and let me know if you need the complete kit??? or just the insert.p.m. me and let me know.Have a great weekend,Andy;) |

Darin I am buying a new boat and it has "Mach Stern Driver" props on it, I have never heard of these, they are 22x14.5 4-blades, thay are on a 30' scarab center console with twin johnson 250s , are these a good prop? what prop would work the best on this hull? am I loosing speed with 4-blade props?

Mach props

Johnson only built a v-6 250 outboard in 98 and all the others are v-8 outboards you should be spinning around 5,800 max rpm.four blades always run a little slower but you may need them on your set-up.Handling is alot better with four blades especially in rough water ,Mach props are ok.they are weld on blades and I have seen several sets where the blades are not set all the same ,The omc offshore series four blade Renegade would be your best all around prop.give me a call and we can talk more about what you have .Thanks Darin;) |
the motors turn around 5500 RPM, the motors are 1994s with low hours and run great, so what type of improvement would I see with OMC renegades? is it a noticeable improvement?

Darin can you make Accelerators out of standard Mirage solid hubs?
|
Mirage or Mirage Plus
yes,we can do the ACCLETRATOR design on either.

BRAVO-RATOR FOUR BLADE
1 Attachment(s)
WE have now come up with our four bld design called the Bravo-rator,This design gives excellent midrange, with a explosive holeshot and increased speeds up to 4 mph.

Hi Darin. I have just recently bought a prop from you. I had actually changed my order to a 15x29 Accelerator re-pitched to 30" but I got a 14 3/8 x 27 re-pitched to 29. I decided to keep it because it truly is a beautiful prop and I knew you know what you're doing. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised that with the smaller blade area the prop would plane the boat as easily as a Bravo 1 26 and have better acceleration to boot. However, the prop doesn't't seem to have quite the top end I would expect from a 29" as has about 14 - 17% slip depending on the load I'm carrying. In short it behaves more like a 27 than a 29. I want to send the prop back to you for a re-work but I was wondering if I could instead trade it in for an upgrade to like a 32" Bravo-rator and pay you for a reasonable difference in value as this prop is definitely too small for my boat?

Hardcore
The prop sounds good, yes we can work a true 29 pitch up higher in pitch ,it will be slower out on plane as you know and the accleration will be slower but you will surley pickup some more top-end, providing you keep the rpm up wher it needs to be .???? where are you on rpm and where does it need to be?? Glad you like the Apperance of the prop and the performance, but if you want to go faster we are here for you. Darin:)
