EXCELLENT TOP END,MIDRANGE IS UNBELIVABLE,NO BLOW OUT TURNING,EXCELLENT BOW LIFT FOR REDUCED DRAG.PLANES OUT VERY QUICK.

How much for a 27 LH. I was looking for a 27 mirage plus. Would you recommend the Accelerator over mirage plus for a single engine V looking for more bow lift. Running a 26 bravo 1 at 5600 now. Thanks. You will get a lab job what ever I end up with. :D :D At least that is the plan.

I have run smaller 3 blades and like the way the boat handles slightly better than with 4 blades. Just guessing on 3 blade pitch. I have a 28 bravo 1 and it works well but I would like a few more RPM and more bow lift. Runs about 5100 - 5200.

You guys sure have an awesome reputation on OSO. I have tried the Mirage's, and Spinelli's, now have 28 Hydros, good top end, but terrible blow out, sometimes can't plane regardless of method used (in rough water). Boat, Cig 30 Mystique (non stepped) 500 e.f.i.s, turning bravo's 1.5 @ 5050/5100, 82.1 G.P.S. Hydromotive recommends the flared rim extension, BUT says a speed loss is imminent. Should I try to find 30 mirage's, and have you perform the "accelrator" mod or what? I have seen the similar treads regarding this blowout, however not concluded a recommendation. Do you buy fast props, then install the rings to slow back down?

Thanks for the compliments, Have you tried BRAVO-ONE FOUR BLADE PROPS AT ALL??

I think a set of 30 highly labbed Bravo -ones with exhaust flange's cut back and tuned to your boat would be the best setup.

we do buy props, but not at this time of the year,we can work your hydros to reduce the blowout tremondusly.

3 blade props no what? are not the answer on your setup.

Well I bought this great deal of a prop!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought maybe with your advertising it someone else might buy chance want a 27 lefty also. :rolleyes: :D I almost bought a brand new one a while back but it's price got higher than I wanted to go. So when it gets here I will be calling you on working your magic on it. Also on possibly reworking the 28 bravo 1 I have.

One question and maybe a dumb one at that. Being that all props are different should I run this 27 mirage plus to get some base line numbers before we look at reworking it. Probably January or February before I can get that opportunity. :mad:

Sorry about the misunderstanding regarding the remark "do you buy fast props, and install rings to slow back down" I was referring to me and the others that have changed props, only to later have to install these "rings". and then be back where we started. Also I stand corrected, the boat had Bravo props, (not labbed) not Mirage's. If you were to rework the Hydro's, you indicate the "blowout" would be improved, however would there be a loss of top spreed? I realize there are no guarantee's, obliviously your word and best intentions are just as valuable.

the honest answer is I do not know for sure .

it could run faster,may run slower?

but would surley plane out quick ,with little blowout,

I am pretty sure what needs to be done in my mind:rolleyes: :D what to do to make them plane quick and keep the rpm and speed up.(Thats the GOAL.)


if not we can always put them back where they were,and try something else,you only pay -once at my shop. we will get it, until we hit the mark.

what pitch B-1s did you have ?

Man, would it be awesome if Cigarette was half as responsive as you guys (Houston Props). The B-1s were 30's. Can't ask anymore than you have offered. Will get the props off the boat (stored) and contact you direct.

it just depends on what you need ??

more or less can be achieved ,but there is a maximum of 600rpm's each way.send me a pm and let me know what you are running ,where you are at for rpms and speed and what would you would like to achieve.

64mph top speed/
I want same wot rpm, same cruise (40mph at 3000rpm) but top end gain

is this the prop for this, or labbing and cupping my quicksilvers, or start over with something more modern

Darin i am turnning 5200 rpms with a 19" 3 blade SS prop on my 19' Donzi bowrider. it has a 4.3 V6 I need to upgrade to a 21" prop I was looking at the revolution 4 to keep some of my holeshot and I need a stern lifting prop not a bow lifitng prop like the mirage what prop do you think I should go with?

on how much money you want to spend?

the rev four 17 PITCH stock would work great

or a lab finished 19 rev four would work good .

AT LEAST ON THE rev four I would try it before you buy one,and the others we sell have a 35>00 exchange policy.

we have other brands that are available that might just be the ticket with -out having to do anything other than put it on and go. Give me a call when your ready .'

Darin, hope all is well. I have a west coast boat. Essex 29' @ 6,500 lbs running. HP500EFI Bravo 1, 1.50 & 22p bravo 1. The boat runs 60-61 @ 5000 rpm's. With a 24p it run's same top end @ 4700 rpm's. The boat comes on plane very good and runs hard up to about 50-55 mph & starts to hit the wall. Its takes very little + trim any more & it scrubs speed. Boat stays very flat coming on plane & to top speed. Would a 3 blade allow more bow lift to free up the hull. No steps in bottom, just about 8' notch in the delta pad.
