If it's a 250 mounted on a 7.4, 300, or 330 hp motor, I would stay away from it.
If it's on a 365 hp motor, then it could be set up right. That motor has kind of high compression (8.5:1) but should survive with 4 psi. You do know it was an afternmarket bolt on, dont you? There's a lot of potential downside depending on how well thay were set up.
Things to check: Ignition, total advance of not more than 28-30 degrees. Bigger oil cooler and oil temp guage. Boost referenced carb(s) or at least carbs set up for blowers.
They could be worn out or very fresh depending on how it was run. Do a compression test.
It's worth considering the drives too. Bravos dont survive well behind a heavy blown boat.

got a little more info.

"according to the seller" the motors were built by MRD in 97 at a cost of 25k each however the current owner never got the dyno and specs from the previous owner.

he is not a gearhead and doesnt know what parts are in them but said his mechanic told him they have the good stuff soooooooo looks like im SOL on good info

short of tearing down these motors is there any way i can confirm whats in them?

i must sound like a real idiot , not the first time

If you like the boat. You could sell the blowers and take the money and build some 496s or stock 454 mags.

Who is the mechanic and why does he know?

Does anyone else know the boat? Can you talk to the previous owner.

Does he have receipts?

I'd walk from any deal that I could not verify internals.

I bought a B&M 250 with a Nickerson Carb in great shape for $1,200.

Blower motors aren't worth much unless proper built maintained and run.

Just thought of something.

Pull off the volve cover:

Check the head casting number and cross to recangular ports. If so that's a good start.

Are there roller rockers inside. If so they have probably done their internal work.

i just talked to a very respected oso member and he verified alot of money was spent on the motors.

the current owner tryed for monthes to get the reciepts and dyno sheets from the previous owner but got blown off and finally gave up.

the motors have been profesionally maintained by certified mechanics "according to the owner"

Rich , you just want something to wrench on

I agree with Bajalion. At least you'll know for sure that it's not a 330 or 365 with a blower if they at least used roller rockers. You should be able to tell that from looking through the oil or breather holes.
BTW, is it a LOTO boat?
