Engine Hatch / Sun Pad
I'm getting my sun pad redone, and I'm looking for a lighter weight alternative to the 1/2" plywood currently being used. You know the drill, something light and strong. The pad is about 6' w x 3' d, and we use it a lot.
King starboard is out because it's about 20% heavier than plywood. I'm looking at something called Feather-Ply. It weighs about 1lb sqft, as opposed to 1.5lb sqft for regular plywood. It would only be about a 9lb savings, but it's still a savings. Has anyone used this before? I've got an info request in to the distributor, and now I wait. Any other ideas???
