Has anyone ordered parts from them? Are they original Mercury parts or aftermarket? Parts in stock? Looks like good prices.

I have bought parts from them for years. You can get both merc and the aftermarket parts from george. Alot of the aftermarket parts are the oem for the merc parts. Boatfix is a very good source of parts.

I have also bought from BAM when they had the part in stock and boatfix could not get the part.

I have had good luck with both of them. Boatfix has some great prices and things are shipped quickly.

I have dealt with George as well. I have purchased genuine Merc parts from him. Very good to work with.

George and his co-hort Les that run their forum tend to be "normal guy" boaters and fishermen that appreciate all boats, but not all boaters. There are always posts about a$$hole go-fast boaters, Jerkoff jet skiers, etc. Once in a while there is even a post about flagellating fisher guys blocking the channels so they tend to be equal opportunity gripers But there is some good info there and George is a real good parts guy who does his best to help you out and keep prices low.

Hmmm, sounds like Harry from the newsgroup Rec Boats.com. Is that old gezzer still there?

Anyhowz, Just placed an order of lots of parts. We'll see how they do. I've always ordered from BAM with excellant results. Always good to have backup.

Question,
Some of the parts I ordered said there is a minimum order #, such as o-rings. I needed 2, said min. is 5. I changed the default from 5 to 2 in the quantity box and it accepted it all the way through the order. SO will I get 2 or 5? And will there be an adjustment on my bill?

Thanks for the feedback.

You might get 2 packages of 5. Merc is packing stuff in wierd quantities to sell more I guess. Like the coupler bolts, you need 6 so they sell packs of 5. Makes sense huh?
