New to power boating but in auto repair busniess
i have a 454 310 hp efi top speed 50 bravo three outdrive not sure what ratio low hours around 30 got a good deal on the boat it has mcleod elec bolsters quick & quiet halon system merc k-planes gaffrig gauges mechanical trim indicators would like to go 65-70 is it hopless should i leave it alone and wait to trade up always wanted 31 sonic but this came along and price was right not much known about viper factory seems to be idle has single step bottom handles pretty good would appreciate any help thanks

i was an IMP dealer from 1989 until 1997.the company was sold soon after that.your speed is about right for that power in that hull.if you repower with a 502,it should run about 60.it's a big boat for a single.

what do you think of the overall construction of the viper
most people dont even know what it is there are not many around appreciate any info

should i keep the bravo three ???

they hold up pretty well.we have sold several 31's that are run very hard with no problems.with that engine the bravo three is the way to go.if you upgrade i would try a bravo 1
